Q. What time of day should I test for Ovulation?
A. Ideally you should not use the first morning urine to test for your LH (Lutenising Hormone) surge. The best time to test is between 10am and 8pm, however you should try to test at the same time each day.
Q. How much sperm will be in the syringe?
A. The 10ml syringe is used as it is the most ideal size for most women however the amount of sperm produced per ejaculation is usually 0.5 -1.0 ml and therefore will only fill a small part of the sryinge.
Q. Can I shower after I have inseminated?
A. It is advised that you refrain from showering immediately after insemination to give the sperm chance to find their way through the cervix
Q. When can I test for pregancy?
A. You can test for pregnancy whenever you feel you may be pregnant however it does take some time for the body to produce HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadatrophin) which is what indicates that you may be pregnant. Our pregnancy tests are ultra sensitive and can pick up as early as 2-3 days before your period is due, whether or not you are pregnant, however the amount of HCG released increases the further into the pregnancy you are and therefore if you get a negative result first time, leave it for 48 hours and then test again.
